What is Suet Tallow Balm?
Suet Tallow Balm is a natural skincare product made from rendered around beef kidney fat, also known as tallow. Tallow has been used for centuries in skincare and candle making and is prized for its nourishing, moisturizing, and healing properties. Our Tallow Balm combines tallow with other natural ingredients to create a luxurious and effective skincare product.
If Your Product Melts It’s Still Good?
As the temperatures start to rise, we want to share a little insight into how our products behave and how to care for them.
Because our products are made with suet tallow, a natural ingredient, they are sensitive to heat. Tallow has a lower melting point, which means your balm may soften or even fully melt if exposed to warmer environments. This is completely normal and part of working with natural ingredients.
A melted product does not mean it’s spoiled or no longer effective. The quality of the ingredients remains the same. When cooled back down, the product will simply solidify again. You may notice a slight change in texture, but that’s just the nature of working with minimal, natural formulations.
How do I use tallow balm?
Tallow balm can be used as a moisturizer for the face and body. It is best to apply it to your damp skin after showering or bathing to lock in moisture. Use a small amount and massage gently into the skin. Tallow balm can also be used as a lip balm, for sunburns, burns, and bruises.
Is tallow balm suitable for all skintypes?
Tallow balm is suitable for most skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin. The composition of tallow is similar to the natural oils in our skin, making it a gentle and nourishing moisturizer. However, if you have beef allergy or sensitivity, we recommend avoiding tallow balm.
Is tallow balm sustainable?
Tallow is a byproduct of the meat industry and using it for skincare is a sustainable practice that reduces waste. Our tallow is sourced from grass-fed pasture-raised cows, which are ethically and sustainably raised.
Is tallow balm tested on animals?
No, our tallow balm is not tested on animals. We are committed to creating ethical and cruelty-free products.
How do I store tallow balm?
For best results, store tallow balm in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If the balm becomes too soft or melts, it can be refrigerated for a few minutes to solidify.
Can I use tallow balm if I have a beef allergy?
We do not recommend using tallow balm if you have a beef allergy or sensitivity. Please consult with your healthcare provider before using any new skincare products.
